The Complete CKD Diet Guide Cover

Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine by thy food.”

Nothing is truer than for chronic kidney disease.

The primary treatment is diet, specifically reducing amounts of sodium, potassium, phosphorus, often protein and carbs, and if late stage or on dialysis, fluids are restricted as well. This presents an immeasurable challenge for patients, and they complain of conflicting information and a lack of the help they need from the medical community.  The one resource that should be helping, dieticians, are often out of reach, either by monetary, or geographic issues. So, Linda is stepping forward and helping patients to build customized meal plans, based on their unique needs and situations.

Linda Blaylock

Linda Blaylock is a Certified Nutritionist, Chef, Kidney Health Coach, and Author.

She graduated from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts with honors and completed her Nutrition and CPR certifications through ISSA.

While contracted with American Kidney Fund®, she tested and created recipes, and provided educational content for their blog, cooking demos, and webinars, she also became a certified Kidney Health Coach and was an active Advocate for Kidney Disease.

From the moment of her husband’s diagnosis, she made it her life’s purpose to find real answers and solutions to the kidney diet. She knew there had to be a way to make amazing food without all the salt, and big portions too. She knew the diet could work no matter what the circumstances; she just had to figure it out and piece it together.

After five years, and thanks to her education, and opportunities, she did what she set out to do. She has proved the industry wrong and showed that it is failing miserably when it comes to the realities of everyday living and eating for the kidney diet.

Her husband’s numbers have been stable for years and is no closer to needing dialysis than the day he was diagnosed.

After another two years of painstakingly putting the information together, she is now showing others exactly how to customize and manage their kidney diet successfully, for life.

Linda is on a mission to get your kidney diet on track to help slow or stop that progression.

As a nutritionist, she understands food.  As a kidney health coach, she understands the kidney diet. As a chef, she understands how to bring amazing flavors without salt, incorporate variety, and CKD-ify™ your favorite meals. As a caregiver, she understands daily CKD living and eating firsthand. Linda has an unparalleled understanding of the trials, challenges, traps, and difficulties of the CKD Diet.

She possesses invaluable insights, tips, strategies, and a step-by-step process to achieve success in embracing a kidney diet.

From her husband’s diagnosis to her pursuit of knowledge in nutrition, she tirelessly sifted through an overwhelming amount of information. Additionally, she worked closely with the American Kidney Fund® to experiment with and design recipes. As a result, she discovered the truth, debunked numerous myths and harmful beliefs, overcame obstacles, and meticulously fashioned a program tailored specifically for you.

There simply isn’t another book, program, or help available that not only supplies you with thorough information but also walks you easily through the process of building your customized kidney diet meal plan which you can effortlessly manage and enjoy for life.

Linda understands that successfully following the kidney diet goes beyond just having knowledge and food recommendations. It also involves assistance in cooking and meal preparation, such as finding alternatives to salt for flavor, adjusting recipes for specific nutritional needs or allergies, and even navigating special occasions when you want to indulge, like holidays, or you know, Wednesdays!

Did You Know?

Your nutritional needs will be determined by what stage you are in, your labs, health issues, activity levels, medications, etc.

The majority of info and recipes available are geared for Stage 3 (the largest group).

This means, if you are not in stage 3, adjustments to those recipes you are using must be made.

If you are in stage 3, there is a very wide nutritional gap. Those in lower stage 3b cannot eat the same as those in upper stage 3a.

Adjustments must be made.

Under or Over consuming those nutrients will lead to other health issues or progression.

Let’s customize your unique dietary meal plan now.
